How to recognize the originality of a Romagna printed canvas?
The design and color of the print can also be read on the reverse of the hand-printed canvas.
Furthermore, on the reverse, inhomogeneities and imperfections are more perceptible.
The manually printed design is the result of a composition (by juxtaposition) of molds, and can therefore have slight offsets and connections.
Unlike the one obtained by silk-screen printing, which has spot colors and uniform colour, the manually printed design, due to various factors (different pressure of the hand, different quantity of colour...), may present nuances and different distribution of the color.
Even the repetition of the same design, for reasons strictly related to the manual skill of the operation, may present differences.
